    Hi Health Guide

I just finished your article on the value of taking vitamins. I would agree that a personally tailored set of vitamins would be more beneficial to an individuals health for obvious reasons. But I’m sure you would agree that taking ANY vitamin is probably a step in the right direction for most people. I am trying to spread the word about pork and its role in weight loss and weight management. I hope it can be of interest to you and your site.

A study in this month’s British Journal of Nutrition revealed that eating a calorie-restricted diet with additional protein at breakfast, including Canadian bacon and eggs, led to increased feelings of fullness throughout the day. Researchers also found that a reduced-calorie diet with higher protein intakes – about 30 percent of total calories, including six ounces of pork each day – helped overweight women preserve more lean mass while losing weight.

There you can see registered dietitian Elizabeth Ward’s 21 Healthy Pork Recipes and Leftover Ideas. You can also see Elizabeth’s Weight Management How-To’s, and video on the benefits of a high protein breakfast.

Thanks for your time. I hope you find this information informative and fun. Have a great day.

I have been injecting myself with 5cc of methylcobalamin b-12 for around 13 years with the doctors I had in Florida. I retired a year and a half ago and now my new family doctor says that I am over dosed on b-12 and that I shouldn’t be using it because most people don’t know what it is. Wow. 1…30 ml. vial would usually last me 12 to 18 months and normally inject myself with 5cc’s of methylcobalamin that was prescribed to my by my environmental allergy doctor in Boca Raton Fl. I had never felt better in my life. Now my new family doctor thinks I’m like Michael Jackson and I don’t need b-12 for my chronic fatigue. I was always told from the doctor that your body does not retain b-12 and flushes most of it very quickly. I haven’t had a 5cc shot in about 3 months and my family doctor has made me take blood test’s and tells me my blood is still to high with b-12. After 3 months?? Help. n4uhy@earthlink.net 724-891-3603
